Sorry, this is an answer to a question six years old but anyway. Quantum Physics already has a name for that phenomenon: "quantum tunnelling".

"Calvinistic predestination junk". Where is the intellectual argument in that. Can you argue against determinism: hard, soft, or even compatibilism. It is evident we live in a determined world. Determinism cannot be refuted, even by the theist, who presupposing that the Christian God exists as you're claiming to....Then you would have to accept the three base qualities of his nature as stated in scriputres. The big three: Omniscient, omnipotent, and sovereign. Therefore, you must subsequently accept that God knows all, there are no secrets, he knows every decision. Game over. Of course, there is the feeble free will defense. Now do not mistake me, I believe that our will is indeed free. However our decisions, path and fate, is in fact already determined and there is nothing we can do to escape that. Such is the world we live in. Now again, if you are in fact a Christian as you are seeming to profess to be then you must accept Scripture as Divine Revelation. And I must ask, why would Solomon, a man touted by God Himself as the wisest mortal man every to live on earth outside of Christ, declare this life we live to be a dreadful existence. A man whom you could argue that he went on the greatest soul search of all time in his attempt to gather everything on earth there was to possess, again presupposing that the Scriptures are taken as true.

Who said that a deity or deities cannot be tested. That would be a grandiose claim that you are making and I would have to ask, sir, are you prepared to argue that premise?

Person A makes extraordinary claim. Person B asks for proof. Person B does NOT have to disprove claim, Person A has to show it's true. That's how it works.

As is atheism in general. The only way to be a gnostic atheist is to claim that you personally possess all the knowledge of the universe, and thus you can definitively prove God isn't a part of any of it.

Such a person is insane, which is why I abandoned this site a long time ago.

"Supernatural events have simply not been demonstrated." How can you be so sure? You would have to deny any time someone claimed to be instantly healed from an ailment or infirmity. This would be so hard to do considering all the journals from the past...

Theodore, well said in your second paragraph. Just because we cant use current secular knowledge to explain a miracle does not mean it did not happen. We humans don't know a fraction of the laws that encompass the universe. Saying that the only laws that exist are the ones that man has discovered is claiming omniscience.
