Your response seems to suggest that you believe some deity created the Universe and would have made it more hospitable to life but was restrained by natural laws so it had to fine tune constants so that some life could emerge after 9 billion years. This is inconsistent with an omnipotent creator who is the author of the laws of nature.

The point remains if the god of Christianity existed it would notl be restrained by nature resulting in a universe that seems bent on exterminating life. We would
expect it to create nature in such a way to have life flourish. Rather we see a universe mostly of empty space burning sun's, black holes and dark matter.

You can't have it both ways.

"The universe is not inhospitable to life;"

It is overwhelmingly. Virtually none of the universe can support life and the few places that will become fewer and fewer. This is completely contrary to what we would expect if the universe was designed by a being who can fine tune the laws of nature for life.

MY RESPONSE : Unless of course these principles of fine tuning reach their ultimate potential in our planet earth , Then we could feasible expect that the universe was created by an intelligent being who ordered his creation to reach its zenith on this particular planet .

I dont think its necessary to find examples of life on all planets or everywhere to prove the existence of God . the fact that life exists at all anywhere in the universe is a mind boggling

Yes, but that is ok, like the man who shot the killer in the
restaurant in Texas yesterday as a hero for stopping the
gunman from killing more innocent people. Or the killing
of the enemy in a "JUST" war, whenever that was? ?

Anyway have great rest of your weekend and week ahead.

OK. We seem to disagree about what constitutes evil.

Well, saving ones life by killing the killer First, is not evil,
or one would be guilty of murder under the Law, which is
taken from the SIXTH Commandment of THE LAW. (sr)

Killing is self defense is NEVER wrong

I was talking about evil, not about wrong. It is right to do what is necessary, and killing in self-defense may be necessary, but I don't believe that necessity negates the evil.

Your example is not the same as the sex argument. Killing
is self defense is NEVER wrong, fornication is ALWAYS
wrong. (sr)

Science is progressively establishing that the cosmos is contingent. The fine-tuning for life becomes more apparent with every new discovery.

The fine-tuning argument presupposes that the constants to which it refers are contingent. The existence of the constants does not prove their contingency.
