Would you mind linking the peer reviewed work of the early christian scholars that cite the similarities of the 13 religious figures and the BOD with the 10 commandments? The problem with discussing such issues with mythicist is that they think self-help gurus that write historical fiction are historians. At the end of the day they don't know how to evaluate the scholarship of crap they read; they don't know the difference between primary and secondary scholarship; when they do provide scholared work it is often out of context or antiquated like Franz Cumont's. There has been much more archeological evidence including the finding of the dead sea scrolls. So it certainly requires a contemporaneous historian to revisit such work in light of new evidence.

And for the record there is clear evidence within the bible that Jesus was not born on December 25th., thus supporting the assertion that that day was used to overshadow existing religious celebrations that occurred on the date. The similarities between Jesus and 13 other religious figures that predate him is beyond contestation. And whether the stories of these figures is transmitted through what the west chooses to call mythology is irrelevant. The point of course is that the preponderance of early christians were aware of many of these religious figures. Just as Moses was aware of the content of the Egyptian Book Of the Dead(s), which include 25 commandments that included the 10 he could remember. The problem with discussing such an issue with a religious believer is that their beliefs are not based on facts, evaluation and thus rational thought. Given that holding a rational discussion regarding similarities or contradictions becomes silly. At the end they just look at you and say well I believe it on faith.

The Jews were following a lunar calendar, they were not following Roman calendar which is Solar. Where is the Jewish record corresponding to Dec 25th ?

Just read about the attire of the highest degree Mithraic initiate called as "Pater" (no surprise here, devil's conspiracy) and how he officiated in their ceremonies and the kind of robes, ritual objects employed. You would suddenly see Catholic priests/Orthodox priests donning the attire of Mithraic priests.

Rome during the time of CHRIST was a den of thieves and still is to this day. Whores, Tax collectors, and beastieality in the streets. Normal citizens had PAGAN beliefs and honored the ancient gods. They all knew who Celeus was and chose not to honor him because the consensus was that he was a lame god. Parallel hiS story to the original Greek tragedy that chronicles Lucifer’s fall from heaven. It is no coincidence that Roman Legions began worshiping MITHRA as they transitioned into the Roman Catholic faith. Celeus was secretly worshiped in the mystery school of Mithra, who was indeed Ouranos, Our Father Who’s Art is in Heaven. There are way too many false witnesses of GOD out there today.

A Catholic apologist judges as much as he can against the conclusion he most dislikes, and which he is set against by his dogmatic religious conviction. Shocker. I don't suppose you would like to turn your pen to exploding the Jesus myth? I thought not.

1. The Edict of Toleration was definitively recorded in 311 A.D.
2. The Edict of Milan was definitively recorded in 313 A.D.
3. The Edict of Thessalonica was definitively recorded in 380 A.D.
